Welcome to my blog, Little Ellen in a Big World. The name is pretty self-explanatory, and very accurately describes how I feel while traveling this earth- little. I'm just a small 26 year old trying to see as much of the world as I can while I still have the means (barely) to do so.
I'm a recent (if 2016 still counts as recent) graduate from the University of Cincinnati... Time sure does fly. I graduated with a degree in Spanish and Fine Arts- my two favorite things.
I have three younger brothers, two parents, and a dog that I have left behind in the states. My poor mother is left alone with five boys. This is one of those times where I think we would both like to give a big bear hug to the creator of cell phones.
After studying in Salamanca, Spain in the summer of 2014, I grew a love for traveling. And boy did I take off! The following summer I spent two and a half weeks volunteering in Sri Lanka, before college graduation I made a pitstop building a house in Guatemala for ten days, and soon after, spent a little time with my cousin in good ol' Scotland.
Next stop: Spain again! This time I'm dragging Mason (my boyfriend) along with me, so the stories are bound to be more interesting.
I hope you enjoy my blog and I'll try to make my descriptions, videos, pictures, etc. so vivid that you'll feel like you're standing right next to me on my journey.
